17th Marck 2010 ---- St Patrick’s Day ---- Baptist Church Maitland – representatives from the centre will be performing traditional Irish music along with other performers as entertainment to accompany the evening meal.
20th March 2010 ---- Celtic Centre Committee Meeting ---- 10:30am.
17th April 2010---- Introduction to the Celtic Harp ---- 10:30 to 12:30 - $25:00 cost per person – harps provided. This event will be of special interest for those who have an interest or might have an interest in learning the Celtic harp. Bookings are essential.
18th April 2010---- History Seminar – Story of the Celts I – a general course covering the period from the ethno genesis of the Celts to the early Viking invasions in the 800’s. It is hoping to conduct a similar course in Maitland shortly afterwards according to the availability of Brough House. Bookings are essential.
25th April 2010---- ANZAC Day ---- Once again the choir have been requested by the RSL to perform at the dawn service on Nobby’s Beach. Last year was a truly wonderful occasion with an estimated 10,000 people present. The choir will be accompanied by the Army Band and hopefully the weather will be as fine as it was last year.
1st May 2010---- Cultural Stomp ----- This is an event where Newcastle exhibits the multitude of artistic endeavors for which the city is famous. The Australian Celtic Singers will be performing twice at the Civic complex. Keep an eye on the press or ring the centre for further details.
11th May 2010---- Harp Recital ---- At the Salvation Army Citadel Cardiff.
29th May 2010---- Bonnie Wingham ---- This is growing into quite a large and successful Celtic Festival. It will make a wonderful day out for anyone wishing to attend. It has been suggested that we have a stall there with the intention of promoting the activities of the centre and offering our CDs and study guides for sale.
6th June 2010---- Hawkins Village ---- Choir will conduct an afternoon concert.
